Travel: OZ Blog Ep: 6 - Week 5 Surfers Paradise

Sup everyone! And welcome to my Surfers Paradise blog post!

While I was in surfers paradise I was staying at Jack’s cousins family home in Narang. Shout out to Perry and Pip for being amazing and letting us stay and cooking us dinner! Within the Springbrook national park, there are so many spots which are worth checking out. the first one we saw was the Natural Bridge. It’s basically a cool looking cave with a hole in the roof with a waterfall coming through. Just a heads up the cave is full of bats, which don’t like random tourist using a flash. Watched so many passers-by getting spooked.

Whilst on a drive Jack asked if we wanted to check out Hindes Dam. We said yeah, didn’t really know what to expect. I don’t think i’ve ever been on a dam before. All I can say it was windy as hell on top, and I wouldn’t stand on the barrier as its a long way down.

Another one of the Spring Brook National Park spots we checked out was Purling Brook Falls. Purling Brook Falls was probably one of the best things I saw in my whole 4 months in Australia. the hour trek down to the bottom of the falls felt like I was in Jurassic Parks. have a look below at the waterfall with the amazing orange rock face.

And a trip to Surfers Paradise wouldn’t be complete without going to the beach and sky point tower to see the whole coastline. I would highly recommend the view as seen below. And if you go down to the left (if you are facing the ocean) there is a place called The Spit which is a pretty cool spot of sunset. Other than that we spent most our time with Jack’s family, and the odd night in the bars and clubs.
