Travel: OZ Blog Ep: 11 - Week 7 Agnes Water 1770
We arrive in a little town called Agnes Waters 1770. We decided to stop off here to break up the drive to Airlie Beach / Also its the last place we got told you can surf up the east coast. We stayed in Backpackers @ 1770. A nice chilled hostel with really good communal dinners. Was nice to get a few hours of chilling in the evening. Jack and Mark went for a surf lesson with Cool bannas hostel while I caught up on some editing and chilled out a bit. The weather wasnt the best as you can see from the photos. Our original plan was to stop off somewhere else like Rockhampton aftrer, however when talking to people we were suggested to not stop at all. So we decided to stay an extra day in 1770. We moved hostel to Cool Bananas as its turns out the owner is Jack’s cousins wife cousin. Crazy right!
The next morning we decided to go to the post office and box up our items we dont really use to send back to the UK. Smart shirts, unwanted clothing, Sleeping bag liner. However when we went to psot them it would cost 70 dollars, which was fine. However it may take 3 months to get there, so not worth the bother.
In the day we went to explore a little ridge walk by a beach nearby. and then got some well needed rest before the 8 hour drive to Airlie beach the next day.
