Krinesh & Alison // Froyle Park, Hampshire Wedding

Froyle Park Wedding Photographer

I was so excited when Alison and Krinesh got in contact to hire me to be their wedding photographer. They told me they were going to have two weddings in one day. Indian in the morning and then the English Civil ceremony in the afternoon. It was going to be my first two weddings in one day.

Here is a little back story. I used to work alongside Krinesh and Alison for many years over 10 years ago at Sainsbury’s. Seeing them flirting at the checkouts at the beginning to them on their wedding day was special.

The morning started at Alison’s parent’s home. The girls had their hair and makeup done and were getting the base of their Indian outfits on. With the finishing touches to the outfits being sorted at the Wedding Venue. Krinesh and the boys were getting ready on site. The wedding venue was the lovely Froyle Park in Hampshire. The space of this venue is amazing. Not many venues could have two different weddings on the same day and make each of them feel separate and amazing.

Krinesh had a drum entrance around the main building, through the gardens and into the Indian ceremony area. knowing Krinesh I knew he was hating being the centre of attention. When Ali came to give of the flower necklace, her height wasn’t on her side, making it easy for Krinesh to lean back. Their Indian ceremony was beautiful. I love how interactive and fun Indian weddings are. Walking around the fire pit, sitting on the thrones first. They even finished the ceremony earlier than expected. Which is unheard of at Indian weddings. After the Indian ceremony, family photos under the mandap I took Krinesh and Ali for their first couple session. The weather was amazing for a February wedding. Clear sunny skies and no sign of rain. We used the gardens and the driveway for this session. My favourite shot is Ali pushing Krinesh on the swing and him nearly falling off.

After some amazing food next was the English preps. The couple got changed into their English ceremony outfits. The Grand Ballroom is a beautiful room. Lovely wood textures everywhere and the walking down the stairs entrance. Luckily Ali didn’t trip on the stairs like she was worried about. The English ceremony was very heartful with a reading by Ali’s three sisters which then her parents join at the end, leaving Ali in tears.

Following on from the ceremony we had group photos in the back garden. The light was slowly going at this point. We used the last bit of light for some couple photos in their English outfits. Before we went in for speeches and food we had sparklers. The bonus of not having a summer wedding is losing the light early enough to have sparklers before dinner. The speeches were great. Ali’s dad wearing her piglet hat, Krinesh’s brothers tore Krinesh to shreds with old stories of him as a child. The whole room was laughing. For such a long day everyone was on the dancefloor. One of the busiest dancefloors I’ve seen in a while. 15 hours later and my job was complete. This was the longest wedding I have ever covered. It was a great day, and an amazing thing to be able to capture some friend’s big day.

Hope you enjoy some of the photos from their wedding below.
