The Elephant Hotel, Pangbourne Wedding Photographer

Flashback to June this year. I had one of the strangest bits of information I’ve ever seen on my wedding Questionnaire. Now I guess you are reading the title of this blog and thinking. ‘What’s a surprise wedding?’ Well, it’s exactly what you think it is. A surprise. Mercedes and Ricky told everyone including their parents that they were having an engagement party but secretly they were tieing the knot. The only people who knew were the bridesmaids and groomsmen. So as the guests started to arrive you can expect there were some shocked reactions, as some guests weren’t in wedding attire. My favourite outfit was cowboy boots, shorts and a mullet. What a vibe!

The wedding took place at The Elephant in Pangbourne. A lovely intimate venue with a great variety of spaces. One of the coolest features of this wedding was the truck. It’s not every wedding that you get to take photos of such a rustic vehicle. Another reason I love this venue is that down the road there Is the toll bridge. It’s great for couple photos and it gives the couple a chance to be away from their guest and take in the day.
